KQDI

AM 1450 KQDI is a News/Talk station in Great Falls, Montana.  The "I" in the call letters is formed by a drawing of "The Big Stack" which was part of the Anaconda Copper Mining Company's smelting operation.  When the 506-foot structure was completed in 1908 it was the world's tallest smokestack and the third tallest structure on Earth, shorter only than the Washington Monument and the Eiffel Tower.  After one failed attempt, a demolitions team finally brought down the stack on September 18, 1982.
