BBC Radio CWR

BBC CWR (Coventry and Warwickshire Radio) is the British Broadcasting Corporation's local radio station for the two aforementioned areas of central England.  Besides 103.7 FM they are heard on 94.8 and 104.0 FM.  BBC CWR began broadcasting in January 1990.
 

WYZE

Atlanta, Georgia's 1480 AM WYZE has been a Gospel station off and on since the late 1960s.  They went off the air in 2018 but it appears they have a construction permit that expires in 2026.
 

WRTU / WRUO

89.7 FM WRTU and 88.3 FM WRUO are simulcast public radio stations in San Juan and Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.  The NPR affiliates are owned by the University of Puerto Rico.
 

WOLF

1490 AM WOLF has been on the air in Syracuse, New York since 1940.  They switched call letters multiple times in the 1980s but became WOLF again in 1989.  Notable former employees include television host Dick Clark and sportscaster Marv Albert both of whom attended Syracuse University.  Today WOLF is a Fox Sports Radio affiliate.
 

WGRD

97.9 FM WGRD is a Mainstream Rock station in Grand Rapids, Michigan and flagship of the syndicated Free Beer and Hot Wings Show.  During the 1970s and '80s they were the dominant Top-40 station.  A transition to Alternative Rock took place in the mid 1990s and a shift to Active Rock took place around 2010

KTRH

KTRH has been on the air in Houston, Texas since 1929.  One of their early broadcasting locations was (K) The Rice Hotel which was operated by the station's owner Jesse H. Jones.  KTRH was located on multiple frequencies throughout the 1930s and early '40s before landing at 740 AM in 1942.  Famous former KTRH employees include newscaster Dan Rather who was an anchor and reporter in the late 1950s and sports announcer Jim Nantz who worked there while in college in the late 1970s and early '80s.  Today the 50,000-watt station carries a News/Talk format.  Houston Rockets and Astros games are now heard on their sister station KBME.

90.9 FM KPNO is a 100,000-watt Religious station licensed to Norfolk, Nebraska.
 

WFSP

1560 AM WFSP is a News/Talk station licensed to Kingwood, West Virginia.  They went on the air in August 1967.
 

KTMT

"Stereo 93" was a Top-40 station circa the 1980s in Medford, Oregon.  Today KTMT carries a Contemporary Christian format branded as "Joy! 93.7"

Radio Down-town

Radio Down-Town began broadcasting in the mid-1980s from a pub in downtown Erlangen, Germany.  The writing translates to "There is always a clever head in front of it" which explains Einstein's face and perhaps the fact that the DJs probably stared at a lot of foamy beer heads through the glass of their studio in the middle of a bar.
 

Radio Noorderkempen

Radio Noorderkempen is a Contemporary Hit station in Oud-Turnhout, Belgium.  They began in 1990 and are now heard on 106.2 and 107.8 FM.

WWVA

"Viva 105.7" WWVA was a Spanish-language music station in Atlanta, Georgia circa the late 2000s.
 

WRDW

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania's "Wired 96.5" WRDW shifted between Rhythmic Contemporary and Top-40 during their time on the air from 2004 to 2015.
 

WNEZ

1230 AM WNEZ is licensed to Manchester, Connecticut near Hartford.  They air a Spanish Variety format currently branded as "Exitos" and are now also heard on a translator at 105.3 FM.
 

Classical South Florida

Classical South Florida was a network airing Classical music from American Public Media's Classical 24 service.  The stations were: 89.7 FM WKCP - Miami, 88.7 FM WNPS - Fort Myers, 90.7 FM WPBI - West Palm Beach and two translators.  The entire network was bought by the Educational Media Foundation in 2015 and became outlets of their "K-Love" brand of Christian Contemporary stations.

WFIT

89.5 FM WFIT has been on the air in Melbourne, Florida since 1975.  The call letters reflect their owner, the (W) Florida Institute of Technology.  Programming is a mix of Adult Album Alternative music, National Public Radio shows and specialty shows on weekends.

WCDY

107.9 FM WCDY is an Adult Contemporary station in Cadillac, Michigan.

KVOL

1330 AM KVOL has been on the air in Lafayette, Louisiana since 1935.  The (K) Voice Of Lafayette has seen multiple formats over the years including Top-40, Adult Contemporary, Urban Gold and Hot Talk.  They currently air an Oldies format with the "MeTV-FM" branding.  KVOL is also heard on a translator at 97.7 FM.  Another sticker from their days as "The Buzz" can be seen here.

KRNR

1490 AM KRNR (K Roseburg's News-Review--the newspaper that originally owned the station) went on the air in June 1935 from Roseburg, Oregon.  The were a Country station for much of their history before flipping to Sports in 2008 and changing call letters to KSKR.

KFFA

1360 AM KFFA has been broadcasting from Helena, Arkansas since November 1941.  That same month, King Biscuit Time, the longest running daily Blues radio show in the US, went on the air from KFFA.  King Biscuit Time stills airs on KFFA although now from a remote studio at the Delta Cultural Center.  Most of KFFA's programming consists of Classic Country via the syndicated Real Country radio format.
