KKSU

KKSU broadcast from Kansas State University from 1924 until 2002.  Originally known as KSAC, (Kansas State Agricultural College) the majority of KKSU's programming was farm-related "along with a mix of local and national programs on food, health, family and public affairs."  KSAC/KKSU only broadcast a few hours a day and timeshared the 580 frequency with commercial station WIBW, a partnership that was often troubled.  In the end, it was a disagreement over the broadcast rights of Kansas State football games that put the station off the air forever (you can read the boring details here.)  KKSU was licensed to Manhattan, Kansas.
