Radio Hauraki is a network of Rock radio stations based in Auckland, New Zealand. They began in 1966 as an illegal pirate broadcasting from the ship
Tiri in the Hauraki Gulf just outside the 3 mile territorial waters limit. The boat in the bottom sticker is a nod to their beginnings on the water which saw them at sea for 1,111 days before being allowed to broadcast legally on land in 1970. They were the first private commercial radio station in New Zealand's modern broadcasting era. Hauraki is now heard on 16 different frequencies across the country and plays a mix of new and classic rock.
