Demonstrandum - Latin for "which had to be demonstrated") is a public radio station in San Francisco, California. The original station manager at their inception in 1969 was a co-founder of National Public Radio which first broadcast about two years later. KQED is cited as being the most listened to public radio station in the United States and hit #1 in the overall ratings for San Francisco in 2011. Their signal is now heard on KQEI 89.3 FM licensed to North Highlands, CA as well as on three translators.
