WXCC

WXCC is a Country station licensed to Williamson, West Virginia.  "Coal Country" 96.5's 100,000 watt signal reaches southern West Virginia, eastern Kentucky and parts of Virginia, Tennessee, Ohio and North Carolina.  They went on the air in October, 1978 by playing Tennessee Ernie Ford's "Sixteen Tons," a song about the life of a coal miner.
