WJML

WJML went on the air at 98.9 FM in December, 1965 with an MOR format.  In 1977 they flipped to Top-40 and in 1983 became an Adult Contemporary outlet.  The call letters stand for (W) John Michael and Linda which were the names of the children of the original owner.  Bob Kevoian and Tom Griswold originally teamed up at WJML in the early 1980s to form the now nationally syndicated Bob & Tom Show.  The frequency is currently a Rock station WKLZ.  WJML was licensed to Petosky, Michigan.
