KRYT
KRYT (a reference to 107.9 FM being on the far right of the radio dial) was a Top-40 outlet in Pueblo, Colorado starting in 1986. The station later became KDZA with an Oldies format and are currently branded as "Z107.9" playing Classic Rock.
Hi Greg! I believe that Y-108 sticker actually belongs to KRXY - the top 40 station that rocked Lakewood/Denver from 1985 to 1993. I have a sticker just like it, and that's where it's from. KRXY used to be KPPL, or K-People as we called it in the early 80's. Y108 was a great station. Listened to it quite a bit. It was owned by Cap Cities/ABC until Jefferson Pilot bought it and, unfortunately, pulled the plug on the Y108 moniker in 93. It is possible, though, that Pueblo had the same logo, but I think this one here is from KRXY.
I designed the number sticker. PUEBLOS KRYT was my father’s hobby. He purchased KGHF am 1350 as a tax right off when he, Paul Jones, owned Loaf-n-Jug Food Stores. The income from selling his corporation was used to buy and install a 100,000 watt tower and start KRYT
I appreciate you letting me know about this Gary. I removed the "Y108" sticker and gave it its own post found here: http://radiostickeroftheday.blogspot.com/2015/08/placeholder_2.html Thanks for the info! --Greg
KRYT was a 500 watt day, 250 watt night MOR station in Colorado Springs in the late 1960's. Johnny Harding was the morning man. The antenna was near a golf course and the golf course lake was built over the ground system. Gave KRYT a hellova signal...you could hear it in Denver right up next to 50kw religious station a 1550.
KDZA was giant AM rocker in Pueblo - It did what ever KIMN in Denver did and was a great success.
The original station was AM KGHF. The founder of Loaf n Jug purchased the station and started KRYT as its sister FM station. I was the station ‘gofer’ and did the 7-midnight block.
Hey there! my dad was Roger O’day one of the DJ’s and I’ve been trying to find his old buddies from here. Does anybody have more information or more records from this station and time?
Hi Libby. Roger was a talented DJ, we had a terrific morning drive show. Paul Jones, the ‘then’ station owner is my father. My Dad bought the am station as a tax thing when he owned Loaf-n-Jug
I’m Stan Jones, aka Ray Rivers bringing you the music, fun and memories of the 50s, 60s and early 70s: You’re Right On~KRYT. The station became a hobby for my dad when he sold his corporation, because Kroger wanted his stores only. We made a go of it for a few years, but eventually the money ran out. When we bought the station it came with a garage full of vintage old newstock radio parts and a ‘58 Buick Special that became our traveling billboard, along with a Hot pink convertible Cadillac .
Maybe there was a KRYT in the 60’s in Co. Springs, but do your research, check with KDZA in Pueblo. They purchased the KRYT in Pueblo that started in mid 80’s. Owner Paul Jones was a city councilman in 79-80 and co-founder of Loaf-N-Jug.

What a shitload of misinformation. Do not take any of what you read here as gospel.
