WHOT
WHOT "Hot 101" is a CHR station in Youngstown, Ohio. Their call letters and the Top-40 format go back all the way to 1955 with WHOT-AM broadcasting at 1570 kHz. The FM half came along in 1984 and simulcast until the early 1990s.
Prior to 1984, 101.1 FM was Album Rock station WSRD which was known as "The Wizard". The wizard branding and logo, as seen on the top sticker, stuck around for a few years after the switch to Top-40 and the WHOT call letters.
Now that's Hot!
