99.1 KXLG plays Classic Hits in Watertown, South Dakota.  The station puts an emphasis on local news and programming including a "From The Desk of the Mayor" show, brithday/funeral announcements, church services, tradio, trivia and even fishing tips.  Small town local radio is the best.
 

WCCP


WCCP "105.5 The Roar" is a Sports station in Clemson, South Carolina.  Their branding is based around the Clemson University Tigers athletic teams for which "The Roar" is the flagship station.  Unlike many--or perhaps most--Sports stations, WCCP carries live and locally-based programming throughout the day, switching to CBS Sports Radio only at night and on weekends.  WCCP went on the air at a different frequency in 1993 with an Oldies format known as "Foothills 104.9"

Madison, Wisconsin's first WMAD went on the air in 1964 broadcasting at 1550 AM and later simulcast a Country format on 106.3 FM.  An Alternative Rock outlet with the WMAD calls existed at one time that may or may not have been related to the original station.  The current WMAD plays Country music at 96.3 FM as "Star Country."

The 1989 Broadcasting Yearbook lists WHVE "Wave 102.5" as having an Adult Contemporary/Jazz format.  It also says that the station president was Arthur Carlson who apparently made his way down to Tampa after a stint as General Manager of WKRP a few years earlier.
