AM 1130 WASP was on the air for 44 years and licensed to Brownsville, Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh. They signed on in 1968 with a Country format before transitioning to News/Talk by the 1980s. Towards the end of its broadcast life WASP was simulcasting the Classic Hits of sister-station WPKL. WASP went silent and surrendered their license to the FCC in 2012.
Then sister-station WASP-FM 94.9 (licensed to Uniontown, PA) carried a similar format as "94-9 WASP Country". It's now a Froggy clone.
