Stan Steele / KTCS / KFSA

Recently I received an excellent package of vintage stickers and photographs from Joanna Wagner.  Her father Joe B. "Stan" Steele worked at various stations in Arkansas beginning in the late 1950s including KXLR, KFSA and KTCS as well as being a weatherman on KLMN-TV.  Joanna also included a handwritten letter about her dad's career which she kindly allowed me to include in this post. 950 AM KFSA is a News/Talk station in (K) Fort Smith, Arkansas.  They've been on the air since 1947.

AM 1410 KTCS began broadcasting in 1956 also in Fort Smith, AR.  They currently simulcast the Country format of sister station 99.9 KTCS-FM.
