WKBQ

1000 AM WKBQ began in 1969 with a Country format broadcasting to Raleigh, North Carolina.  This lasted until 1987 when they shifted to Classic Country with new call letters WHEV.

    Well St. Louis version of WKBQ A.K.A. Q106.5 was a rival to KHTR, KSHE, and even KMJM in both the '80's and the '90's.
