Buffalo, NewYork's WKBW went on the air in October 1926. The 50,000-watt clear channel station was a powerhouse Top-40 from 1958 until 1981. Their signal could be heard across the entire eastern United States at night. Subsequent formats included Adult Contemporary, Oldies and Talk. In 1986 they changed call letters to WWKB. Another WKBW sticker can be seen here.
until 1981 - KB Radio Fifteen Twenty was the station that played the top hits of the day for 23 years, but in 1981 - the "PRO Radio" jingle package "jumped over" the radio dial in Western New York.
