From 1978 until 2005, KEAR FM served as the flagship station to the Oakland, California-based
Family Radio network. 106.9 FM is currently KFRC-FM simulcasting the all-News programming of
KCBS 740 AM. KEAR FM was licensed to San Francisco, CA. After the 106.9 FM frequency was sold, Family Radio moved the KEAR call letters to 610 AM.
