Yesterday's post reminded me that I have some other stickers from a temporary radio station broadcasting exclusively at a festival.
Burning Man has been taking place in Black Rock City, Nevada since 1990. It's an arts and music gathering that abides by ten principles including radical self-expression, communal effort, participation, civic responsibility and leaving no trace. The week-long event is famous for the symbolic burning of a large wooden effigy--"The Man"--on the next-to-last night of the festival. I was given these decals by the guy who designs them for Burning Man's radio station. These are some of the most treasured stickers in my entire collection because some are parodies/homages to well-known California radio stickers of the past. OK..."well-known" if you're a radio sticker nerd like me.
This sticker is a tribute to KFAT, a Country/Americana station in the 1970s and early 80s from Gilroy, California. See the original
here.
A "rainbow racetrack" sticker as an homage to the famous KLOS/Los Angeles logos from the 1980s. See some originals
here.

A couple of diamond decals based on the ubiquitous stickers from San Jose's KOME. See the originals
here.
