WUPS

98.5 FM WUPS is a Classic Hits station licensed to Harrison, Michigan.  Their 100,000-watt signal covers most of the northern and central part of the state.  This sticker is from 2001 when they probably carried an Adult Contemporary or Hot AC format.  At one time WUPS was a CHR station and their call letters were actually chosen because of the United Parcel Service and their slogan was "We Deliver The Hits!"

WAVE

Sarasota, Florida's 102.5 FM WAVE FM played a mix of Adult Contemporary and Jazz circa 1985/86.  This sounds like a possible format continuation from when they held the call letters WSRZ and were known as "The Music Wave."  By 1987 they changed calls to WHVE.  "The Wave" is a not uncommon radio station branding.  I counted more than 30 in my collection.  So I was surprised to learn that there are currently no stations with the call letters WAVE on either AM or FM according to the very reliable radio-locator.com

1300 AM KPMO has been on the air in Mendocino, California since 1979.  "Billy Ball" refers to the aggressive style of play encouraged by the Oakland A's Billy Martin when he was manager the baseball club in the early 1980s.  KPMO is owned by Southern Oregon University and is part of the Jefferson Public Radio network of stations headquartered at KSOR in Ashland, OR.  Early 1980s Broadcasting Yearbooks list KPMO's formats variously as Beautiful Music, Country & Western and Talk.  It's unclear when they were sold and went from a commercial to a non-commercial outlet.

KLOD

100.1 FM KLOD was a Hard Rock station licensed to Flagstaff, Arizona from 1999 to 2001.  "Loud Radio" was purportedly a network of stations but the only affiliate I could find was at 88.1 FM (call letters unknown) targeting workers at Anderson Air Force base in Guam.  One article I found described "Loud Radio" as "a terrestrially syndicated offshoot of the Internet" and itself an affiliate of the now defunct onlinemusic.com
