WBEN

"Rock 102" WBEN (W Buffalo Evening News) was a Top-40 station in Buffalo, New York beginning in 1974.  For awhile the 110,000-watt station ran TM Productions automated "Stereo Rock" format.  Their huge signal was popular across the border in Ontario where Top-40 was not yet allowed on the FM dial.

KRLY



The KRLY call letters existed in Houston, Texas from 1971 until 1984.  Formats during these years included Top-40, AOR, Disco and Urban as "Love 94"

KNIS

91.3 FM KNIS is a Religious station in Carson City, Nevada.  They are part of the Pilgrim Radio network made up of about three dozen stations and translators spread across Nevada, California, Wyoming and Montana.

KBAD

94.5 FM KBAD was a short-lived Rock station in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  They went on the air in 2015 as part of the Badlands Pawn Shop tourist attraction which also included "a foundry, tattoo parlor, deli, gun range, gun store, concert venue, music department, casino, house band, entertainment group, radio station and retail store."  KBAD went dark in 2017 after South Dakota's Division of Banking revoked the business licenses of the Dollar Loan Center, another of the station owner's businesses.

WJJC

1270 AM WJJC is a Country station licensed to Commerce, Georgia.  They went on the air in June 1957 with the first DJ being Bill Anderson who went on to be a country music singer, songwriter and TV host.  WJJC is now also heard via an FM translator and is branded as "Whisperin' 95.1"

Radio Flash


These two Radio Flashes are most likely completely unrelated even though they both went on the air in 1976.  The top one is from Busalla, Italy near Genoa in the northern part of the country.  The other Radio Flash was located about 100 miles away in Turin, Italy and was on the air until 2019.

Radio Libertaire




Radio Libertaire is owned and operated by the Anarchist Federation in Paris, France.  They broadcast at 89.4 FM (it's unclear when they were at 89.5 as shown in the top sticker) and went on the air in 1981.

WUNC




91.5 FM WUNC is a 100,000-watt public radio station owned by the (W) University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.  They first went on the air in 1976 and are now simulcast on five other stations whose combined signals reach about half of the state's population.  Another WUNC sticker can be seen here.
 

WPNF

1240 AM WPNF (Wonderful Pisgah National Forest) began broadcasting on July 6, 1950 from Brevard, North Carolina.  In 1993 they switched call letters to WRAQ and about 10 years later became "White Squirrel Radio" WSQL.

960 AM WHYL (W Harrisburg York Lancaster) was a Country station licensed to Carlisle, Pennsylvania.  For a time they simulcast on 102.3 FM.  WHYL is currently an Oldies station along with translator W275CJ at 102.9 FM.

WDSD


WDSD has been a Country station in Dover, Delaware since the 1970s.  They originally broadcast at 94.7 FM but moved to 92.9 FM in the late 1990s.  They went back to their original frequency (with has a much bigger signal) around 2007.

960 AM WATS and 102.1 FM WAVR simulcast an Adult Contemporary format in the Elmira/Corning area of New York.  Both stations are now branded as "Choice 102"
 

KTOP

KTOP is a Country station licensed to St. Marys, Kansas near Topeka.  This mid-2000s sticker is from when they were known as "US103".  They are currently branded as "102.9 Cat Country"

KPJM


99.7 FM KPJM is a non-profit, low-power station licensed to Payson, Arizona.  Their stated mission is "to provide anti-addiction and anti-abuse education to help keep our community's children from entering into destructive behaviors."  Listening live while making this post I heard a Classic Hits/Classic Rock format including songs from Loverboy, Abba, Heart, The Amboy Dukes and Five Man Electrical Band.

KLND

89.5 FM KLND is a community radio station for the Standing Rock and Cheyenne River Nations.  The 100,000-watt station went on the air in 1997 and are licensed to Little Eagle, South Dakota.

KDSH

KDSH was a low-power Religious station licensed to the panhandle town of Borger, Texas.  It's unclear when exactly they began broadcasting but in 2017 they moved from 105.1 FM to 107.3 FM.  In 2021 KDSH's license was canceled after failing to file an application for license renewal.

CKPM

98.7 FM CKPM was an Adult Album Alternative station in Port Moody, British Columbia.  They launched at the end of 2012 but were off the air by the spring of 2018 (or the summer of 2019 depending on who you believe.)  Non-compliance with CRTC regulations and stories about unpaid staff and other monetary problems spelled doom for CKPM and their license was not renewed in 2020.
