830 AM KABN was an Underground/Freeform/Progressive station broadcasting from Long Island, Alaska. They were on the air from 1979 until 1988.
This KABN tribute site doesn't offer much in the way of a concise history of the station but the musings of former employees and listeners and the devotion they had to "The Voice of the People" is worth a look.
