KAYC
KAYC was a Top-40 station in Beaumont, Texas in the 1960s and 70s. Not sure if the shamrock had any significance to the station or if it was just a cute station symbol. Anybody know?
KAY-C "Big Casey" used the shamrock because the name is of Irish lineage. David H. Morris "Dave"[KAY-C / KAY-D...K-NUZ / K-QUE] was the president and the man who started using this logo for the station around 1963. I worked for both operations in Beaumont and Houston. PK

I worked there when I was a teenager. No significance, just a cool symbol.
