AM 970 WMAY has been on the air in Springfield, Illinois since 1950. This 1981 sticker dates to when they carried a Country format which they had from around 1976 until the early 1990s. As of this posting WMAY is a mix of News/Talk on weekdays and Classic Hits at night and on weekends. They are now also heard on FM via two translators and a repeater station.
