KKQZ "Z94.3" was a Classic Rock station licensed to Wellington, Colorado from 2002 until 2007. 94.3 FM is now Classic Hits KMAX "Max FM."

KXNA

KXNA "104.9 The X" is an Alternative Rock station licensed to Springdale, Arkansas.

Bills vs Jaguars

Drove up to New York yesterday for our annual Buffalo sports weekend. We saw the Sabres lose to the Rangers 6-3 in their home opener last night while wearing their beautiful 40th anniversary third jerseys. This afternoon we saw the Bills lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars 36-26. The Bills are now 0-5, the first time they've started the season this poorly since 1985.


WEDG "103.3 The Edge" is an Active Rock station licensed to Buffalo, New York. They are the co-flagship station of the Buffalo Bills along with "97 Rock" WGRF.

Actual Sticker Sighting #9 - WDCX

I saw a faded version of the above sticker on a minivan while driving on Interstate 90 today. WDCX is a Religious station licensed to Buffalo, New York. With 110,000 watts, they are the most powerful full-time Christian station east of the Mississippi.

KRMC

KRMC was a short-lived News station licensed to Midwest City, Oklahoma. They were only on the air from 1974 to 1975. 1220 AM is currently a Gospel station KTLV.

WUNI

WUNI was a Country station in Mobile, Alabama from 1963 until 1984. The call letters stood for "you and I" and their mascot was known as the Woonie Bird.  1410 AM now carries a Catholic format as WNGL "Archangel Radio."

Dart on Map - CHMY

Today's randomly thrown dart landed in a remote area of western Ontario, on Highway 511 near the communities of French Line and Brightside.

The closest radio sticker that I have to this area is from CHMY in Renfrew, Ontario, about 20 miles north of where the dart landed. "My FM" is an Adult Contemporary station that went on the air in 2004.

Amor Stereo

Amor Stereo broadcasts "romantica" music from Medellín, Colombia. There are also Amor stations in Bogota at 104.4 FM and in Zipaquira at 96.3 FM.

WXEZ

WXEZ "Lite 94.1" was an Adult Contemporary station licensed to Yorktown, Virginia. In 2009 they flipped formats to Sports as the ESPN Radio affiliate WVSP.

WOMR

WOMR is a mostly volunteer-run, community station licensed to Provincetown, Massachusetts. They originally went on the air in 1982 at 91.9 FM before moving to 92.1 FM in 1995. A different WOMR sticker can be seen here.

"Kix 104.7" WKFM was a Classic Rock station licensed to Fulton, New York near Syracuse.
104.7 FM is now a Country station "B104.7" WBBS.

WCZX

WCZX was an Oldies station licensed to Hyde Park, New York from 1993 until 2002. They are now Adult Contemporary "Mix 97.7." Here's a couple of magnets from their current incarnation.

The Zones

CIZN "The Zone@92.9" was a Hot AC station licensed to Cambridge, Ontario.

KOZN "1620 AM The Zone" is a Sports station licensed to Bellevue, Nebraska.

WZON is a Sports station from Bangor, Maine. The station is owned by horror author Stephen King and got its branding from his 1979 novel The Dead Zone.

KXJM

"Jammin 95.5" KXJM was a Rhythmic Top-40 station in Portland, Oregon from 1999 until 2008. 95.5 FM is currently a Sports station known as "The Game" KXTG while the KXJM call letters migrated up the dial to "Wild 107.5" licensed to Banks, OR.

KOLZ/KKAZ

"100.7 KOLT" is a Country station licensed to Cheyenne, Wyoming. The KOLT call letters must not have been available when they switched from KKAZ in 1996 so they went with KOLZ instead.

KKAZ was a CHR station throughout the 1980s.

KGNC-FM

CKCH

"103.5 The Eagle" CKCH is a Country music station licensed to Sydney, Nova Scotia.

KUFO

101 KUFO was a Rock station in Portland, Oregon from 1990 until 2011.

Jovem Pan

Jovem Pan is a large network of affiliated CHR stations throughout Brazil. The above sticker is from Curitiba which is the capital of the state of Paraná in the southern part of the country. The station's name comes from the Portuguese word for young and an abbreviation of Panamericana.
