Radio 24

Radio 24 is a News/Talk station based in Milan, Italy.  They went on the air in 1999 and are heard on multiple frequencies throughout the country.

WUVA

WUVA began broadcasting at the University of Virginia in the 1940s as an unlicensed, AM carrier-current station.  They became officially licensed in 1979 and began transmitting at 92.7 FM.  WUVA was an independent, non-profit corporation and legally unaffiliated with the University of Virginia but was still registered as a student organization.  This was in contrast to WTJU, a more traditional campus station that was owned and operated by the school.  WUVA was a Rock station at first and later switched to Top-40 and by the 1990s played Adult Contemporary music.  A flip to Urban Contemporary took place in 1996 and another flip to Country in 2015.  After the station was sold in 2017 the new owners changed the call letters to WCVL while retaining the Country format.

WPRT "102.5 The Game" is a Sports station and ESPN affiliate in Nashville, Tennessee.
 

WMFQ

92.9 FM WMFQ (We Mean Fine Quality) went on the air in 1977 as a Beautiful Music station in Ocala, Florida.  Their format has changed over the years to Soft Adult Contemporary, Oldies, Classic Hits, Hot Adult Contemporary and now CHR as "Q92.9"

WICE

97.1 FM is a low-power station broadcasting a Religious format in Hendersonville, North Carolina.
 

WEAT

850 AM WEAT was on the air in West Palm Beach, Florida from 1948 until 1998 (except for a one year period in the mid-1980s when their call letters were WCGY.)  They carried a Country format in the 1970s and into the early 80s.
 

WAXX

104.5 FM WAXX has been a Country station in Eau Claire, Wisconsin since 1976.  At 2000 feet, their tower is one of the tallest structures in the United States.

KVRK

KVRK "89.7 Power FM" was a Christian Rock station licensed to Sanger, Texas from 2004 to 2015.  Their signal covered the northern suburbs of Dallas.

KQBR

KQBR is a Country station in Lubbock, Texas.  In 1999 KCRM flipped from Classic Rock to become "The Bear" with new call letters KQBR.  In 2012 they rebranded to "Blake FM" while keeping the Country format.  They rebranded again two years later to become "Lonestar 99.5"
 

KLSS

106.1 FM KLSS is a Hot Adult Contemporary station in Mason City, Iowa.  They went on the air in 1967 with an Easy Listening format.
 

KHHT

"Hot 92" KHHT was an Urban Adult Contemporary station in Los Angeles, California.  From 2001 until around 2008 they mixed Urban AC with Classic Soul as well as Latin pop and R&B.  Because of competition from the similarly-formatted KRBV and KJLH, KHHT shifted to a more Rhythmic AC to attract Hispanic and Asian listeners.  Further programming changes included adding Disco and later dropping many current songs and leaning into a Gold-based Rhythmic AC direction.  In 2015 they flipped to Urban Contemporary as "Real 92.3" and changed their call letters to KRRL.  These shiny, reflective chrome stickers represent the core artists for most of KHHT's existence.

KBCS

91.3 FM KBCS is public radio station owned by Bellevue College in Bellevue, Washington.  They went on the air in 1973 as a student-run operation with a tiny 10-watt signal and equipment donated by KING FM.  A power increase in the 1990s allowed their signal to be heard throughout the Seattle metro area.  KBCS eventually moved from a student radio club into a professionally managed organization.

CJJC

"The Rock 98.5" CJJC is a Contemporary Christian station in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.  They went on the air in 2006 at their original frequency of 100.5 FM before moving to 98.5 FM in 2012.

 

Z FM 107.6

Z FM 107.6 broadcasts from Zoetermeer in the western Netherlands.  They primarily play current pop hits along with news and information.
 

WZEP

1460 AM WZEP is a News/Talk station licensed to DeFuniak Springs, Florida.  The call letters of the former WFNM were changed to WZEP after being sold to Leonard S. Zepp in 1959.

Troy University Public Radio

Troy University Public Radio is a three station network of public radio stations broadcasting from Troy University in Troy, Alabama.  WTSU, the first station in the network, went on the air in March 1977.
 

WORC AM

WORC has been on the air in WORCester, Massachusetts since 1929.  They carried a Country format from 1984 to 1989.  WORC is currently a Spanish station branded under the FM translator as "Mega 106.1"

Rundfunk der DDR broadcast in what was then East Germany from 1946 until 1990.
