Magyar Rádió is Hungary's public radio broadcaster. The Budapest-based organization first went on the air in 1925 and consists of three nationwide radio channels.
MR1 Kossuth Rádió - Primarily News/Talk
MR2 Petőfi Rádió - Pop music aimed at a younger audience
MR3 Bartók Rádió - Classical music...named after composer Béla Bartók.
MR 4 through 7 includes programming in minority languages, regional and Parliamentary broadcasts and Folk music.
