KSON
KSON-FM has been a Country music station in San Diego, California since going on the air in January, 1964. They originally had the call letters KSEA and simulcast the programming of sister station KSON-AM before becoming KSON-FM in 1980. They were named "Large Market Station of the Year" at this year's Marconi Radio Awards.
UPDATE: See comments.

The KSEA simulcast with KSON only lasted until 1968 when it went top-40. They flipped to gospel music very abruptly (in the middle of afternoon drive) on Christmas Day 1974 but that lasted only a couple of months ... they took the KSON-FM call letters and started simulcasting again in March 1975.
