KSUA
KSUA officially hit the airwaves in September, 1984 at 103.9 FM with an Album Oriented Rock format. They were originally a commercial college station but financial troubles plagued KSUA and they went off the air in March, 1993. They resumed broadcasting nine months later with new equipment and staff and were now a non-commercial outlet playing Alternative Rock. Eventually, the University of Alaska station ended up at 91.5 FM and are now licensed to Fairbanks, AK.
KSUA also operates a closed-circuit television station that went on the air in 2003.
