WQOK is an Urban Contemporary station in Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina now branded as "
K97.5". In 2009 they switched their city-of-license from South Boston, Virginia to Carrboro, North Carolina. At one time WQOK was owned by veteran broadcaster
Tom Joyner.

Thanks for posting, I worked there in college for a semester.
That is correct it was owned by a Tom Joyner but that is a local radio owner in Rajehgh, not the syndicated host Tom Joyner.
