The Christian Science Monitor is a nonprofit news organization that publishes daily online articles as well as a weekly print edition. In the late 1980s The Monitor began shortwave broadcasts to Europe, the Middle East and Africa from WCSN in Scotts Corners, Maine. They would go on to add broadcasts from WSHB in Cypress Creek, South Carolina and KHBI in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands. The World Service of The Christian Science Monitor ceased operations in June 1997.
