Bills vs Colts
Today we're heading 90 minutes west on I-70 to Indianapolis to watch the Buffalo Bills take on the Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium. We were at the stadium just three weeks ago to watch my son's marching band compete at the Grand National Championship. Lucas Oil is only four years old and has a beautiful brick and limestone exterior along with a retractable roof and a gigantic moveable wall of windows. It's quite a stunning structure. GO BILLS!!!
WIBC-AM was the flagship station of the Indianapolis Colts for many years. The lead Colts station still remains on 1070 AM although they are now "The Fan" WFNI. WIBC's News/Talk programming remains on WIBC-FM at 93.1 while WFNI is all Sports and affiliated with ESPN Radio.
"97 Rock" WGRF was the flagship station of the Buffalo Bills from 1999 to 2011.
UPDATE:
The Bills lose to the Colts 20-13 and slide to 4-7 on the year, virtually guaranteeing another losing season.
My Colts-loving wife was very happy.
A subtle reminder of what country the Bills suck in.

License Plate Stickers
KMJJ was an Adult Contemporary station licensed to North Las Vegas, Nevada from the late 1970s to the mid-1980s. They were an early user of voicetracking, where DJs pre-record their on-air presentation which is then combined with music and commercials to resemble a live air shift.
1140 AM has seen many format and call letter changes in its 56 year history including Top-40 (KLUC) / Heavy Metal (KRSR) / "Casino Radio" (KXNO) / Sports and Talk (KSFN.) They are currently KYDZ, a Radio Disney affiliate.
The blue and white style license plates were in use in Nevada from 1961 to 1985.
KRCC (K Radio Colorado College) carries NPR shows along with various music programming. They are licensed to Colorado Springs, CO.
This sticker resembles Colorado's current license plates except that the mountains are now white and the numbering is green.
WKBW was a Top-40 station in Buffalo, New York from the late 1950s until the early 1980s. 1520 AM is currently WWKB and carries a Progressive Talk format.
These plates were in use from 1973 to 1986. New York's current license plate, in use since 2010, seems to be a nod to these gold and yellow classics.
