WWL
870 AM WWL (World Wide Loyola) is a News/Talk station from New Orleans, Louisiana. They were put on the air by Jesuits at Loyola University of New Orleans in 1922.
I credit WWL for getting me into this hobby. Back when I was a kid in Vancouver going across the radio dial one night I picked WWL up. Amazed and astonished by this "freak of nature" I wrote them a letter (not realizing what DX'ing or clear channel stations were at the time). They responded with a QSL card and a form letter inviting me to join I.R.C.A. Out of curiosity I joined.....and the rest is history.
