WXOX "101.7 The Spot" broadcast a Modern Rock format for a year or two in the late 1990s. Located midway between Buffalo and Rochester and licensed to Attica, New York, their weak signal failed to impact either market and the station was sold to Holy Family Communications in 1999. 101.7 FM currently carries a Catholic Religious format as
WLOF, now licensed to Elma, NY.
