Boston and airs a mix of Folk, Americana, Roots and Blues music. Weekend shows focus on Traditional Folk, Blues, Celtic and World music as well as syndicated programs. WUMB broadcasts with only 160 watts and relies on a series of eight repeater stations to widen its broadcast area beyond just the city of Boston. They went on the air in September 1982.
