CKO was a Canadian radio news network that broadcast from 1977 until 1989. Based in Toronto, Ontario, they were heard in a dozen cities including Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Ottawa and Winnipeg. All stations used the CKO call letters with corresponding numbers (CKO-FM-1, CKO-FM-2 etc.) The network reportedly lost $55 million dollars during its existence and was abruptly taken off the air in the middle of a broadcast on it's last day.
