KPOI

KPOI was a Rock station in Honolulu, Hawaii.  They started in 1980 as a typical AOR outlet (originally with the call letters KDUK before switching calls to KPOI in 1983) then evolved into Modern Rock by 1993 as "The Edge".  Later they became "The Rock You Live On" which lasted until 2004 at which point new owners flipped them to Hawaii's first FM News/Talk station.  97.5 FM is currently Country station KHCM.  The KPOI call letters live on in Honolulu at Alternative Rock station "Alt 105.9".
