KQRS (

Station) became a Freeform Rock station in the late 1960s after switching from Beautiful Music as KEYD. By 1977 their programming tightened up and they became a more mainstream Album-Oriented Rock station and today they're exclusively a Classic Rock station. KQRS has been at near the top of the audience ratings for years and were #1 in the most recent Minneapolis Arbitron book. KQRS AM was split from the FM in 1996 to become KDIZ, one of the first Radio Disney outlets in the country. KQRS is licensed to Golden Valley, Minnesota.
