Not sure what the format was for KRYS-AM but the current KRYS-FM in Corpus Christi, Texas is Country so there's a good chance the AM was as well. It was a Radio Disney outlet long after this sticker was printed which has a 1970s look to it. 1360 AM is now KKTX, a News/Talk station.

KRYS 1360 was Top 40 in the 60's & 70's. Somewhere in that mess I call my collection I have a chart from that era with the same logo.
In 1968 KRYS 1360 was a pop station, mostly middle of the road. It battled between itself and KEYS for the top spot. KEYS was more hard rock. The station owner was Ace Lloyd, sales manager was Jim Springer and salesmen included, Bill Scott, Brady Malone, and George Desmukes; Bud Little was the news director. J Gordon Lunn was the drive-time disc jockey who later moved to Odessa and became a celebrated weatherman in the Midland-Odessa area. The office was located way out on Staples, but moved after the hurricane.
When I worked at KRYS from 1967 to 1971, Joe P. Ethridge(sp) was the morning man and program director. I (Dave Harper) worked afternoons and Jimmy Lewis worked evenings.
After hurricane Celia in 1970 the owners of KRYS hired a writer to debrief the staff which resulted in a book about all our adventures. I have been trying to find that book for decades, but I don't know the title or author. Anyone?
I started at KEYS from 1970-72 and KRYS in 72. Who is this? I am Steve Weldon. I had the single "Carrie" By the way, KRYS was not top 40. It was easy listening or what we calld "Chicken Rock"!
When I, Jimmy Louis, first started at KRYS in 1966 there was a 6-midnight show called the Teen Top Twenty Tunedex hosted by ?? maybe Ron Beach, no he had the Beach Party prior I think...maybe Tom Dycus? Johnny Marks and Bob Smith were there. I'm thinking the sticker above was a bit later...after Celia or about that time anyway
This logo was used in the late '70s. I have a few old KRYS 1360 music surveys (on record sleeves) and this is the logo featured on them.

I remember you and your buddy a tall slim guy you guys came over for dinner one time.
I worked with Johnny Marks and Bud Little Joe P. was my Boss I used the air name Gil Moore and ran Dolly Holiday from 12 to 5am and then had a weekend shift back in 1965. I left and became Michael Scott on Keys and had a 7 to 12 gig, and then became the first album rock PD of KZFM FM. Love those days in the 60's
