The flip to Alternative Rock came in 2001.On this date in 1941, Japan conducted a surprise attack on the US naval base at Pearl Harbor. The strike killed more than 2,400 military personnel and civilians as well as destroying or damaging hundreds of aircraft, ships and submarines. Pearl City, Hawaii is located along the north shore of Pearl Harbor.
