AM 600 WSJS is a News/Talk station in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  The call letters originate from Winston-Salem Journal Sentinal which was a combination of the names of two daily newspapers in print at the time the station went on the air in 1930.  The "Deacon" in the top sticker refers to the mascot of Wake Forest University whose basketball and football games were heard on WSJS for more than 20 years.
