KRST

KRST's call letters refers to Sandia Crest which rises a whopping 10,678 feet above sea level and almost 5,000 feet above downtown Albuquerque. This makes for an ideal location for the KRST signal tower (along with more than a dozen other radio and television towers) and makes Sandia Crest the highest elevation tower farm in the country.
