"Sports Radio 740" WMSP is licensed to Montgomery, Alabama. They have carried a Sports talk format since 1995.
I can only assume that The Phantom is or was a show host on WMSP. The only hit that Google comes up with are some "Phantom Premium" football picks from 2012. He also looks a lot more like The Invisible Man than the purple costumed Phantom.

A 1998 sticker from WJPS licensed to Chandler, Indiana. They stopped playing Oldies in 2005 and flipped to Country as WLFW "The Wolf". The call letters stood for (W) J. Porter Smith who helped put former sister station WJPS AM 1330 on the air back in the 1940s.
