Big Cabbage Radio
"Big Cabbage Radio" is a community radio station broadcasting in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley of south-central Alaska. It is made up of 89.5 FM KVRF licensed to Sutton, 91.5 FM KGVC licensed to Glacier View and translator 89.7 FM K209FY in Palmer. Palmer is home to the Alaska State Fair which is famous for its record setting giant vegetables including cantaloupes, broccoli, pumpkins and cabbages. There is a lot involved in growing world record-setting sized veggies. The most important might be daylight which Alaska enjoys up to 20 hours a day worth in the summertime.

Sister station 93.5 FM WNBY followed in 1977 as a full-service station playing a mix of Adult Contemporary, Country and Oldies music. They later moved to 93.7 FM and again in 2014 to their current position at 93.9 FM.
