WYUL
94.7 FM WYUL in Chateaugay, New York began in 1997 as a simulcast of CHR station WYSX in Morristown, NY. In 2002 they became "94.7 Hits FM" targeting nearby Montreal, Quebec with an English-language Top-40 format. The YUL in their call letters is also the airport code for Montreal's main airport. Being a U.S.-based station exempted them from CRTC CanCon regulations and allowed them to accept French-language advertising (something Canadian-licensed, English-language stations are not allowed to do.) WYUL was sold in 2021 and is now yet another Contemporary Christian K-LOVE affiliate.
