Eau Claire, Wisconsin's WEAQ has been on the air since 1937. They broadcast at 790 AM from 1941 until 1996 when they switched to their current position at 1150 AM. Formats over the years include Country, Rock, Adult Contemporary, Standards, Sports, Oldies and Rhythmic CHR. They currently air a Classic Country/Agriculture News format branded as "The Farm" and are also heard on a translator at 95.9 FM.

Today WTAX carries a News/Talk format and is also heard on WTAX FM at 93.9 FM. Sister station 103.7 FM WDBR has been a Top-40 station since the early 1970s.
