The
NRJ Radio Group started in Paris, France in 1981 and has since spread throughout much of Europe as well as Russia, Canada and the Middle East. NRJ (aka "Energy") entered the German radio market in 1991 with a station in Berlin and currently can be heard in at least seven other cities and regions throughout the country.
