W244AV "96.7 FM The Alt Project" is an Alternative Rock station licensed to Blacksburg, Virginia. In 2018 they rebranded to "Alt 96." They are also the HD2 sub-channel of 96.3 WROV.
The change to "Alt 96" was because they added W245BG 96.9 in Cave Spring (a suburb of Roanoke). W244AV 96.7 is actually licensed to Blacksburg. WROV is licensed to Martinsville.
Thanks for the correction. BTW, without warning, Blogspot stopped emailing me when comments are left which is why I'm only now approving them two years(!) later.
