According to Wikipedia, WMYK "K-94" signed on the air in 1973 with an AOR/Top-40 format. The logo on the above sticker dates to when they shifted to New Wave/Modern Rock around 1982. WMYK broadcast to the Norfolk/Chesapeake area of Virginia and was licensed to (W) MaYocK, North Carolina.

Then WMYK went to a CHUrban format Greg, as "The New K-Power 94 FM".
K-94 came back (sorta) to Norfolk area radio last year on WPTE-HD2. This time as Classic Rock (what was new then...), but still K-94 with the exact same "K-94" logo as the sticker.

Thanks for the comments guys. I wonder if the logo on that sticker actually dates to before they went new wave. The reason I thought it did was because it's used in this fantastic clip of K-94's version of MTV which can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1Hg2bma0yU
I Think WMYK A.K.A. RocK-94 did went to a MTV type of format phase Greg.
