1350 AM CKEG signed on the air on July 1, 1981 in Nanaimo, British Columbia. In the mid-1990s CKEG switched frequencies to 1570 AM and flipped their format to Oldies. In 2001 they converted to an FM station and became "106.9 The Wolf" with an Active Rock format and new call letters
