What was originally called the Voice of Tangier was founded in the early 1950s with the plan to broadcast to Spain by way of Morocco.
Trans World Radio is now the largest Christian broadcaster in the world, reaching 190 countries and transmits via AM, FM, shortwave, cable, satellite and internet in more than 300 languages. Major transmission sites include Cyprus, Swaziland, Guam, Sri Lanka, Monte Carlo and the island of Bonaire in the Netherlands Antilles.
