1290 AM WQIN signed on the air in 1975 from Lykens, Pennsylvania. According to this
radio message board thread WQIN's format was a bit of a hodge-podge--Country, MOR, Polka, Religious, Oldies and lots of news from the Mutual Broadcasting System. They were a daytime-only operation until the mid-80s when the FCC allowed a limited nighttime signal. WQIN went dark some time in the late 1980s.
