The Pulse Rocks

ThePulseRocks.com was an online-only Christian Rock station.  It's unclear exactly when the defunct broadcaster existed or where they originated from.

Through the power of The Internet Archive, I was able to track down that it was owned by "WQRP Family Radio Incorporated" out of Dayton, Ohio. There is a WQRP in Dayton and at the time, it held a Southern Gospel format.

The website was first loaded in June of 2007 until 2013 when it and a sister stream, ModernPraise.com (think Air1) both shut down due to "100% volunteer" staff finding their "lives moving in different directions" and deciding to "refocus [their] resources to provide funding for various...non-profit organizations."

The ModernPraise.com website was immediately snatched up by website squatters in 2014, while ThePulseRocks.com would redirect listeners to Illinois radio station WBGL-FM until it (ThePulse) was finally taken offline in 2017.

ModernPraise.com is, ironically, still online (the website)...as a boilerplate "this domain is for sale" page.

WQRP has switched from Southern Gospel to Contemporary Christian before being sold to EMF in 2010. It operated as part of the K-Love Network until 2012 and is now part of EMF's Spanish-language Radio Nueva Vida or Radio New Life.

Wow! Thanks for that research Tybois! I live in the Dayton radio market and had no idea about any of this.
